Hello friends,
I hope you had a powerful week! I’m back with another practical tip which is about probiotics.
Probiotics are quite popular these days, marketed for benefits like supporting digestion, boosting immune function, and even aiding muscle growth. But what does the science say about these claims?
Here’s the Truth
A research review found that probiotics had no direct, significant impact on muscle performance. It did have a positive effect on upper respiratory tract infection. The supplement, however, produced unclear results for metabolic health, inflammation, and gastrointestinal symptoms. In fact, one study even reported a possible increase in gastrointestinal distress due to probiotics.
One Tip, One Week, One Change
Science does not currently endorse probiotics. We don’t have enough research to conclusively say that probiotics offer all the benefits that they are sold for. Therefore, this week, take some time to think: Do you really need probiotics for a healthy lifestyle?
Personally, I don’t think it can produce meaningful results for me so I choose not to take it. But if you choose to continue using probiotics, take them with caution and buy products from reputable sources Also you should consult a healthcare professional for personalized advice.
Until next week, stay informed, stay fit, and stay healthy!
Steven.
